Ovi Colton for reasons i wont mention can’t get on runescape till next week, me and Colton like to see who can achieve cretin goals faster/first. so when he was no longer able to play runescape instead of running up the score of our competition i decided to do something that won’t take advantage of his downtime yet still benefit me. I decided that i would do the Seers’ achievement diary, so i can use a enhanced Excalibur which would help heal me at waterfiends and when i tank Zammy at GWD.

I soon relized i had to do the one thing i hate most about runescape… SKILLING! i know there are a lot of skillers out there that love it all i am saying is i can’t stand it. I reluctantly purchased a bunch of maple and yew logs and began fetching about 3 days later i finished that, and actually made 1m when i thought i was going to loose money so that’s a plus.

I then moved on to Fire making which i thought would be TERRIBLE, but turned out to be just as painful as fletching. I know that most people firemake at the rouges den but it was too doom and gloom so i went to the fishing colony where i made fire after fire until i was finally done about 3 days later.

The seers diary wasn’t nearly as bad as getting the requirements in fact i enjoyed it. Now i am a proud owner of a enhanced Excalibur and in my opinion it was worth the time. now back to waterfiends for those crimson charms..

Display Name Dilemma

Today Jagex released the display name update and if you have been reading the Q&A’s you knew it was coming. I was fairly exited for it because i wanted to get the name “shwan” i was about to do it then i realized changing my name to just “shwan” would break the bond that OVI has, so i decided against it. However it got me thinking that when people saw the members of OVI together they thought “wow since they have the same names they had to make new accounts together that’s pretty cool!” now they will just think we all changed our names. Of course this is not a huge deal but it is a bit disheartening knowing that no one will believe that all of us started brand new accounts at the same time 1 and 1/2 years ago and how far we have come.

Even thought i don’t want to change the name of ovi shwan i still want to own the “shwan” name on runescape, without thinking i went to change my pure account’s name and realized it is only a members feature so hopefully “shwan” won’t be taken when display names get carried over to the free world.

Great Zammy Trip

Yesterday September 15th Ovi squid, Ovi colton, i own nublet, and i decided to do i Zammy trip. We where all very optimistic that we would get a hilt on the count of me and Nublet did not get one thing the last 3 times we went to GWD. Sadly we didn’t get a hilt, however we still ended up getting 2 Zamorakian spears!

we had a great time mainly because Colton and Nublet borrowed a AGS so they where hitting very well i think that max hit that night was around 76. Ovi squid borrowed my ZGS and helped out a bunch it was only his second time at GWD. As for me i tanked wearing full karils, DFS, Infinity boots, Veracs helm, and a whip. to our surprise we lasted till we had 80kc and the only reason we stopped was because we where getting tired (it was late). So now i am 2m richer woot! lol

In IRL news i got my drivers license today = )

99 Hitpoints goal reached!

Today was a great day in Runescape because i got 99 Hitpoints! i have always been a fan of the cape and i am very happy to be done with another skill.

Also thanks to all of OVI for being there either in game or by text message (squid)

Runescape Update 1

Hello! To start things off “Shwan Update” is a series in which I will write about what I am currently doing in Runescape weather that be slaking off or training hard. This week I have been really focusing on my summoning more specifically water fiends. After going to Sara GWD for the first time the other day I decided that In order to be the best I can I would need to have a unicorn. That sounded easy, however I had forgotten how boring killing waterfiends really was!

I am aware that waterfiends is currently only the second best way to get crimson charms but I can’t justify spending lots of money ancienting rock lobsters is anyone with me on that? The best part about water fiends is that no matter how long your trip you normally break even so you never lose money.

I bring 4-5 bunyips a trip (and since I am a slacker) I get about 200 crimson charms in that time to get to my final goal of 88 summoning I will need around 6.9k charms! Right now I am really wishing I was smarter and picked up all the green and gold during slayer tasks XD. One really great thing about having a bunyip down there is all the raw food you get that enables you to turn off your prayer and just cost through some kills. But I can’t wait till 79 summoning when I can use a titan to heal me I think that will be much more efficient.

That’s it for the first “shwan update” as a side note I am currently 180k away from 99 hitpoints! And below are screen shots of the gear and inventory I use to kill waterfiends. I am still trying to decide what is better to use a Zspear because of its speed or a ZGS because of its hits does anyone have any insight into which one is better?
